As a manager in charge of QA, I understand the role that automated testing plays. Up until I had my staff use Scenario Tester, I never saw an automated testing implementation that was successful. The Scenario Tester approach works. My QA staff, who were non-programmers, could run and maintain the scripts quickly and easily. Scenario Tester allows non-technical individuals coming from the business or an analytical background to structure and capture test cases without assuming that they know anything about the scripting language or about the automated testing tool. It allows them to complete their job faster. I highly recommend this approach for testing Web-based applications, client server applications and mainframes. It works.

I was the business analyst and trainer for a large corporate mainframe system. To say that my job was hectic would be a gross under-statement. I was then given the added responsibility for coming up with all the test scenarios for the Y2K testing of the mainframe system. I could not see how I could possibly accomplish this in the time allowed and at the same time still do my job. Scenario Tester solved the problem. I could immediately enter my scenarios. Because of how Scenario Tester works, to my surprise and amazement, I entered almost 300 scenarios in less than a day. Scenario Tester is a very useful, well-designed and powerful application.

I like using Scenario Tester a lot. It made it easier to keep track of test cases and data and it was easy to manipulate the data. Adding and changing test cases was straightforward. Scripts were easy to maintain. It was also simple to train other people in how to maintain those scripts. It is a great product and I am a big fan.

I found Scenario Tester very easy to use for testing an application, which created proposals. It took no time to create multiple test cases. All I had to do was copy the proposals and change the relevant fields. The scripts then interfaced with a mainframe app to create the data and a client server app to generate the proposals in Word. Then the scripts checked the proposals. We used the scripts for both functional and regression testing. Scenario Tester afforded me the luxury to create and execute a full set of test cases in the time permitted, therefore, dramatically increasing the depth of test coverage. As the business analyst for the project, it was also very important for me to be in control of my data. Scenario Tester gave me that control.

We used test files for our data driven testing. The files were difficult to edit on a regular basis, which caused us to make errors. When we introduced Scenario Tester, it made things so much simpler. It was user friendly and very simple to comprehend. It did not have a steep learning curve. It minimized the potential for human error. From a QA prospective, the layout of Scenario Tester mirrored the way we worked. I could easily configure Scenario Tester to satisfy the application's requirements.

I frequently use automated scripts as part of my testing. As a script writer, the Scenario Tester approach is marvelous. I love using Scenario Tester. Scripts are easy to set up and control. Creating test data is amazingly quick and simple. Once I’ve written the code, I don’t have to edit the test scripts, I just need to edit my test scenarios. I can relax and enjoy. I can't imagine using automated testing scripts without Scenario Tester. I just want to say thank you, thank you, thank you for this wonderful software.

We had to handle multiple CSV files in testing. It was hard to know which fields belonged to which variables in the file. Scenario Tester allowed us to organize this data and attach field names. Scenario Tester has a feature where it exports pure CSV files. It was easier to know what you were doing. Scenario Tester also allowed us to attach notes to document each scenario. This was very useful for us, for it allowed other people to use the scenarios.
